Write for us
Local Community Press welcomes considered proposals about shared skills, materials, making, community spaces and local customs. We look for clear ideas that help readers understand a subject without turning a single experience into a rule for everyone.
What we welcome
Pitch explanatory pieces, comparisons, histories, reflections on common assumptions or occasion-specific guides connected to community resourcefulness. A strong proposal has one main question, a distinct angle and a reason the subject will remain useful beyond a passing moment.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the proposed subject, the central idea, the intended reader and what the piece would add. Say what material or experience informs your approach, and note any limits or local details readers should understand. Keep claims proportionate and avoid presenting personal experience as proof of a wider pattern.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page, selecting the editorial question option and including your pitch in the message. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication; please do not send a complete manuscript unless requested.
